Augustana College has a ton of unique architecture and plant life that makes it stand out in engagement photographs. There’s a bridge, plenty of buildings with character, and a few gardens to choose from. Augustana is mostly known for the slough, a beautiful water feature perfect for romantic photos!

Buffalo Beach

If you long to be at the beach then Buffalo Beach is for you! As far as ocean vibes in Iowa, this will give you perfect tropical-ish photos. (P.S. I’m always willing to catch a plane to Florida!)

ButterWorth Center

The Butterworth Center flourishes with luscious gardens! A purely soft and romantic vibe around every corner.

Black Hawk State Park

Black Hawk State Park is a local favorite known for its trails and the Prairie Lodge. Enjoy a range of tall trees, grass, and the aesthetic of the Prairie Lodge.

Scott County Park

Scott County Park, with 1280 acres, is the largest in Scott County with an array of scenery. If you’re looking for tall grass, hills with a gorgeous sunset, pine trees, and fields Scott County has the best!

Loud Thunder Forest Preserve

Loud Thunder is my personal favorite. Loud Thunder is the largest of the Rock Island County forest preserves at 1,480 acres. One of the main attractions at Loud Thunder is Lake George, a 167-acre man-made lake with depths up to 55 feet and stocked with many varieties of fish. On-site canoe and boating rentals make for great excursions and photo opportunities.
